Which engines it suits
Use this pack on petrol engines where carbon has glued the oil-control rings so the engine burns oil. Typical matches:
- 4-cylinder GDI (VW/Audi TFSI, Hyundai/Kia GDI, Toyota with oil-use TSBs) when you want two soak cycles
- Inline-6 and many V6 engines for a single full pass
- Combined fuel-system treatment (tank dose) plus a cylinder soak
Do not pour B-12 into a diesel. For V8 and angled big-block soaks, the 12-pack is the safer quantity.
How many bottles you actually need
A working dose is about 30–60 ml per cylinder per pass. A 4-cylinder therefore uses roughly 2–4 bottles the first time; a 6-cylinder uses most of this carton in one pass. If compression is still low after 24–48 hours, a second fill is common — that is why four-cylinder owners often skip the 3-pack and start here.

How to do a piston soak with this pack
- Warm the engine, then remove the spark plugs (work on a petrol engine only).
- Pour Berryman B-12 slowly into each cylinder. Leave headroom — overfilling can hydrolock on restart.
- Soak 12–24 hours for a first pass; 24–48 hours with a top-up if the carbon is heavy.
- Extract the remaining fluid, crank, then change oil and filter because solvent leaks into the sump.

Is the 6-pack enough for a 4-cylinder?
Usually yes: one full soak plus a repeat cycle, or soak plus tank treatments. Severe carbon can still need more — check the calculator.
Can I use it only in the fuel tank?
Yes. One can treats a typical petrol tank (~60 L). Piston soak is the stronger method for stuck rings; tank dosing cleans injectors and the rest of the fuel system.
